I had never designed the image of a winery, so I was pleased to receive this commission, which came in at the end of April 2020. The Mezzacane winery is located in the countryside near Voghera, at Rivanazzano. I arrived there one day in May, and I met a group of special people who told me about their project, and conveyed their passion, the identity of a particular place from an architectural standpoint, where equally special wines are produced, which we tasted in the garden surrounding the main house. As soon as I got out of the car, I was welcomed by an odd couple of dogs: a Jack Russell terrier and an elegant Drahthaar. The memory of those dogs stayed with me, in the creation of the logo and the coordinated image. The labels announce three very special, unique wines… prosit!
