In motor sports, the pit stop is a break for refuelling, but mainly dedicated to changing tyres. Similarly for a walker, a break for a foot bath is essential at the end of the day.
I remember that at the end of a walk in the mountains, during the camping trip with the oratory in my village, the race to get a chair, a basin full of water and a place in the sun was the norm for all of us. The coolness one felt when soaking the poor, tired feet in the cold water made one forget in an instant the weight of the boots and the fatigue experienced during the climb.
Pitstop is an accessory that combines an aluminium basin with a stool in a single object. It can be moved easily thanks to a rod handle and at the end of its use the basin, used for foot bathing, can be stowed on the seat, reducing clutter in a minimal space such as a wayfarer’s hut.
