Two-tier stool with shelves set at different heights, designed to accompany everyday life, share emotions, and nurture relationships. Trespolo integrates many functions into a simple form. A seat for two; a workstation; a side table.
“The first idea for Trespolo came to me during an extended family lunch — the classic occasion when there aren’t enough chairs and a stool becomes invaluable for making room for everyone. But I wanted something special: a double seat that would also allow a child to look adult diners in the eye.
I’m delighted that Trespolo has won the Compasso d’Oro, because I believe it’s an award given also to the idea of inclusion and welcome that, unusually, a small piece of furniture can express.
I share the joy of this prize with a young brand, Orografie, which is forging a design and production path of great entrepreneurial courage.
Trespolo is not just a double seat — it also lends itself to being a temporary workstation, a handy side table, an object that I would like to represent an open way of designing, capable of generating elements of free interpretation and use.”
